What Scamable Does

Scamable helps families practice spotting common scam messages. A family manager can sign up, add one recipient for the free MVP, preview a safe practice check, and send a harmless simulation with a friendly lesson page.

Information We Collect

We collect the family manager's name and email, the recipient's name, email, and relationship, setup answers from the checkup, selected practice check details, delivery status, and whether the safe practice link was clicked. If you join Advanced Protection early access, we also save your signup, welcome-email status, and any optional survey choices or comments you submit. We save email preferences, consent and withdrawal records, and delivery status for account updates and optional check-ins.

What We Do Not Collect

Scamable does not collect real passwords, payment details, banking details, verification codes, or sensitive account information from practice checks.

How We Use Information

We use this information to create accounts, send the heads-up email and safe practice check, show the family manager the result, prevent duplicate free tests, improve the product, and keep the experience private and supportive. Early-access survey responses help us choose future practice scenarios.

Email Delivery

Scamable uses email delivery providers to send the heads-up, practice, account updates, optional check-in, and early-access welcome messages. Those providers process recipient email addresses only as needed to deliver the messages.

New accounts receive a welcome, scheduling confirmation, and one practice update unless they turn off those emails. An optional check-in about a week after signup requires a separate choice, is off by default, and is sent at most once. It may instead remind you to finish setup. These choices never subscribe your family member or add anyone to a newsletter.

Use the unsubscribe link in an account email or visit email preferences to stop account updates and optional check-ins. Security emails, requested family practice delivery, and Advanced Protection early-access messages are separate. Contact support to leave early access. We do not sell or rent these addresses or share them with newsletter sponsors.
